In occasion of the "Tree Day" last 21 November 2019, the Natural Reserves of the Eastern Coast of Taranto organized several activities with pupils in the frame of LASPEH awareness campaign.

During the event, the project LASPEH was presented together with its activities aimed at reducing the loss of biodiversity in our ecosystems. Children's enthusiasm for planting new trees, seeing hedgehogs and a seagull helped raised their awareness on the safeguard of our planet.

Awareness campaigns are one of the activities foreseen by LASPEH project in order to raise awareness also among children, sharing the elements characterizing the territory and its fragilities, accompanying them in a growth path, which will make them more aware and attentive citizens, contributing to a positive changing towards more sustainable habits.

LASPEH Project, funded by the Interreg IPA CBC Italy-Albania-Montenegro Programme under the Priority Axis 3 (Environment protection, risk management and low carbon strategy), will implement a network of organizations cooperating for a better management of priority species in Natura 2000 sites, exchanging their best practices and developing a transnational common strategy to preserve common habitats and species.
